Why Gay Conservatives Are Shunned By Both Sides

When I first saw a video of Milo Yiannopoulos speaking, I thought he was amusing in that “bitchy queen” sort of way that gay men are funny.  They seem to have a penchant for a smart turn of phrase, and a clever way to make an insult hilarious and cutting at the same time.  Joan Rivers could have been their teacher.

As a young lesbian, I grew up with gay men in the beginning of the gay liberation movement, beginning in 1969, and I even adopted many of their phrases which I still use to this day.  Now it is time for me to give gay men, and the gay political movement, a real “bead-read.”

We may all be gay, but lesbians and gay men are different creatures, and our goals are not always the same.  It’s true that most gay men (just like straight guys) are obsessed with sex, while it seems lesbians think more about romance and fulfilling, secure relationships.  The sad truth is that most of us don’t know how to date, as unlike straights, we were not trained in the rules.  We grew up in a do-it-yourself movement where there were very few boundaries.  There was one rule for lesbians:  once you are in a relationship, cheating is not allowed, while gay men sort of expect it.

When AIDS swept through the gay community, killing many men who were in their 20s and 30s, lesbians were the first to rush to their brothers’ aid.  I doubt that gay men would do the same for us.  Many of them are able to live in an exclusively male world, and to completely ignore us.  Some of them actively hate women, even though, through their effeminacy, they may display some of our alleged mannerisms.  After listening to Milo speak, what bothered me the most about him was that he hated women, period.  It didn’t matter than he specifically mentioned only lesbians and feminists.  Since I happen to be living in a woman’s body, this bothered me.

Then I saw the video where he condoned molestation of boys aged 12 and up by adult males, and joked about it.  Unfortunately, there are a large number of gay men who don’t regard adult male-male child sex as a big deal.  And while Milo was careful to say he was referring to boys who had at least gone through puberty (they are referred to as “twinks”), his comments were disturbing to many, gay or straight.  I know those who were victims of child molestation, and there is nothing benign about it, regardless of their age or gender.

What’s distressing is that it took this for his book deal, and his speech at CPAC, to be cancelled.  Wasn’t his obvious hatred of half the human race enough?  Sure, you can say nasty things about minority groups if you’re a member of one, especially if you are conservative and witty; it’s what we’ve all longed to hear during this decades-long indoctrination into cultural Marxism.  But when you are a man who obviously hates women, it simply doesn’t sit well with at least half of us.

The more I hear conservatives bring up objectionable “education” promoted by gays, the sexualization of children, etc., the more I think we really must seem like some kind of out-of-control feral population within the larger culture that desperately needs the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) treatment!  We are still a part of our Western heritage, and many (if not most) of us, hold mainstream values.  There are several problems with the movement for gay rights.

The gay leadership is totally out of touch with its base.  Who elected them?  I never did.  I don’t think that children younger than puberty should be told about any form of sex.  Mostly, they just need to be told to tell a responsible adult if anyone tries to touch them in their private places, so we can stop child predators.

Since it was the Left wing which promoted gay liberation, most of us have been indoctrinated with cultural Marxism, and those who practice it are going to be pushy about it.  The whole anti-nuclear family, childless couple agenda is something which has been pushed by the Communist party from day one; it can be documented.  It’s not an exclusively gay thing.  The Communists adopted minority groups who were struggling because they knew Mainstream America wouldn’t accept their ideas.  Minorities were desperate for recognition and equality, so they took advantage of us.  This applies equally to Jews, gays, blacks, hispanics, asians, women, etc.

I’m actually grateful to the Left for my gay liberation.  But now it’s time to move on.  It’s not a fait accompli, but it’s good enough for now.  The issue of marriage equality is all about money:  inheritance, social security, healthcare insurance, etc., so there is no need to get your knickers in a twist thinking that gays are being blasphemous towards the institution of marriage.

It’s time for us all to move on, and time for gays to grow up.  We are a part of the larger communities in which we live; we hold Western values and morality just like the rest of the people living in them.  We want safety, stability, and an opportunity for the same kind of prosperity that every other American should have.  We need to uphold Western values and morals and stop acting like a bunch of outlaw kids who are all id with no super-ego to control our behavior.  Party time is over; it’s time to get serious about our political future.
